Guide: How to Read and Transfer Your E-book (ePub)
When you purchase an e-book from us, it is delivered in the ePub format. This is the official standard format for e-books because the text automatically adapts to your screen size, allowing you to adjust the font size and background color yourself.
Below, you will find a guide on which apps to use and how to easily transfer the e-book to your phone or tablet.
The Best Apps for Reading ePubs
Before you can open the book, you need an app capable of reading ePub files. Many devices already come with one pre-installed:
Apple Devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac):
Use the built-in app Apple Books. It works perfectly with ePub files and is completely free.
Android Devices (Samsung, Google, OnePlus, etc.):
Use Google Play Books. If it is not already on your phone, it can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store.
Kobo & Other E-readers:
You can use the Kobo app on your tablet/phone or transfer the file directly to your physical Kobo e-reader.
Alternative Apps (For all devices):
PocketBook or Lithium (Android only) are also excellent and free e-book readers.
How to Transfer the E-book from Computer to Tablet/Mobile
If you have downloaded the e-book file to your computer, you can easily transfer it to your tablet or phone using one of these methods:
Method 1: Email it to yourself
1. Open your email client on your computer.
2. Send an email to your own email address and attach the ePub file.
3. Open the email on your tablet or phone.
4. Tap the attached file and choose to open it in your preferred reading app (e.g., Apple Books or Google Play Books).
Method 2: Use a cloud service (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox)
1. On your computer, place the ePub file into your cloud folder (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud Drive, or Dropbox).
2. Open the corresponding app on your tablet or phone.
3. Locate the file, tap it, and select "Open in..." or "Export" to send it to your e-book reader app.
Method 3: Direct transfer for Apple users (AirDrop)
If you have both a Mac computer and an iPhone/iPad:
1. Right-click the ePub file on your Mac.
2. Select Share and then AirDrop.
3. Choose your iPhone or iPad from the list. The book will automatically open in Apple Books on your mobile device right away.
Shortcut: Download directly on your tablet or phone
You actually do not need to use a computer at all. If you open your order confirmation directly on your phone or tablet, you can tap the download link from there. In most cases, your device will ask if you want to open the file directly in your e-book app immediately.
